Clinical Discussion

Perilobular hemangioma is a proliferation of capillary to small cavernous vascular channels that is usually microscopic and found incidentally in the breast. There may be minimal cytological atypia, but no extensive complex anastomoses, no papillary endothelial tufting, or mitotic figures. Differential diagnoses include pseudoangiomatous hyperplasia, angiosarcoma or other benign vascular lesions of the breast as angiomatosis or venous hemangioma.
