Clinical Discussion

Malignant melanoma is a malignancy of melanocytes (pigment producing cells) that most commonly occurs in sun-damaged skin. Melanoma of the scrotum is an extremely rare entity, and this is a rare case of primary melanoma of the scrotum.

This case underwent molecular testing for various mutations, and there were no variants detected in BRAF, GNAQ, NRAS or KIT. Some KIT-mutated scrotal melanoma cases have been reported.
