Neuroblastoma (NB) is a malignant tumor derived from primordial neural crest cells. It is the 4th most common malignant tumor in children. It follows distribution of sympathetic ganglia. In this core biopsy, the findings are of stroma-poor, poorly differentiated NB with <5% of tumor cells showing ganglionic differentiation. Most cells appear undifferentiated in a neuropil background with minimal schwannian stroma. Almost all NB are NB84-positive.
